PT113B

There tends to be some confusion, but the PT113B is not a retail racket, but a mold used to make rackets. Think of a retail racket as the finished product and the mold as the initial canvas. This allows players greater freedom for their racket technicians to customize their rackets to their liking.

In terms of pro-stocks, Novak’s racket is probably one of tougher rackets for the everyday player. I would not recommend mimicking his specs apart from curiosity.

If you were looking to get the same set up as Novak, there are a couple of options. First, of course, is to get the actual pro-stock which may be difficult and/or expensive. This, however, will be the only genuine way to have the same exact set up as Novak, especially with the custom 18x19 string pattern.

The alternative option is to get one of the older retail rackets that uses the PT113B mold. It will not be exactly the same, but you’ll be pretty close. The retail rackets that use the PT113b mold are as follows:

  • Ti.Radical MP

  • i.Radical MP

  • Liquid Metal Radical: It is the PT113B mold apart from the signature liquid metal ridges.

  • Flexpoint Radical MP: Uses the PT113B mold apart from the ridges and flexpoint hole. TTW user dr325i, who is quite knowledgeable on the topic, has claimed that the flex point radical MP is the closest to the PT113b, in terms of feel and layup.
